The Propagator
Put an valve on the air line and you should be able to control the dry/wet ration a LOT better.. Link to comment
evilc66
It comes with one and it's still a pain in the ass. Because the airstone clogs up over time, you always seem to be adjusting it. I will admit though that the longer reaction chamber mod does help. I tried raising the skimmer to get a little drier skim, but the stock pump doesn't have enough output to get the bulbbles to the top. Link to comment
evilc66
Yup. I'm even running a bigger Coralife one than the one that came with the skimmer. Might try a bigger pump. Link to comment
The Propagator
2 stones and a larger pump. Link to comment
evilc66
The new tube definitely allows for 2 airstones now. Might try that too. Link to comment
badbread
I tried 2 pumps with one airstone and valves and there were far to many bubbles. In order to stop it from overflowing super wet bubbles into the collection cup I had to raise the already extended tube out of the water about 5". I figure at that rate you get much less contact time with the water and air and that contact time is what skimming is all about. Link to comment
