BKtomodachi Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I hate to disappoint you but it sure looks like a bristle worm to me.

brian92 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I hate to disappoint you but it sure looks like a bristle worm to me. +1
ReeferDan Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 +1 bristleworm, nothing to worry about at that size
zjayz Posted June 17, 2008 Author Posted June 17, 2008 You cant really tell from the picture but those are patterns on it not bristles. you are probably still right though I will keep my eye on it cheers
lakshwadeep Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Perhaps a digitate hydroid, if it stretches out at night like a hairy string.
hazmat Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 If it's black and white striped it could be the proboscis of a peanut worm. But mine only come out at night. But it looks spikey to me which would seem like bristleworm.

But it looks spikey to me which would seem like bristleworm. I agree with HazMat, the coloration is similar to a Peanut Worm, but its spines resemble a Bristle Worm. Either way it is only benefitial to your tank.
zjayz Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Thanks guys it probably is a bristle I will keep my eye on it, if i can get any better pics i will post them
Diatome Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I know I am getting old and my eyes not as good but it reminds me of some of the stars I have in one rock. They only come out at night. I need new glasses though.
zjayz Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Think you are right looks exactly like the ends of this starfish in this forum the one on the right http://www.3reef.com/forums/inverts/discov...star-41778.html
