REEF@305
I'm trying to decide what lighting I should put on a 10 gallon AGA setup. So I think i've decided between these two: 70 watt or 150 watt JBJ K-2 Viper HQI Clamp on Lamp Lighting Fixture. Which do you think is better? I have to use a clamp on Lamp because I have Mangrove growing in the tank on a couple of rocks so not to disturbed the sand bed. I and trying to replicate a mangrove coastal reef so far the mangroves have grown nicely and going strong. I have been curing additional live rocks on a separate bucket and they are ready to be transfer to the tank so now I need to get some additional lighting for the corals I have been using a 6700K light source over the plants and that will remain in place but I still need the other light. Any help will be appreciated... on making up my mind Link to comment
aquascaper08
Get the 150 in case you need it in the future. If it too much light now ( you animals dont grow or get mad) raise it up from the tank. Link to comment
HecticDialectics
What kinda coral do you want to keep? If you want clams and sps or somethin, then I'd go 150... otherwise I'd stick with 70W. With 70w on a 10G, you'll still be able to keep some higher light stuff, but will have less heat. Link to comment
