Aqua newbie
I've heard of people using aqua clear filters as refugiums. So do I just throw in some rock and algae. What AC filter is best for a 28 gallon? Right now I own a 150 Biowheel would that work? Thanks. Link to comment
Crippler
I have a AC 110 on my 10g that I modded into a 'fuge.' Check out my tank thread in my signature. I have some mod pics in there. Link to comment
Aqua newbie
Any other opinions? Also I may ditch the idea and go with a ten gallon underneath the aquarium. All i need is one water pump and an aquarium, right? here's a pic I found. I may make it much simpler It doesn't look right. click on it. Link to comment
BibleSue
Does your main tank have chambers in the back? If so, that is what I used on my 24g Nano. I had the chaeto in the middle chamber. Link to comment

Aqua newbie
Could I use the biowheel filter? What light do you use? Link to comment
cmador
Could I use the biowheel filter? What light do you use? You can use a penguin for a fuge (I do) but take the biowheel off. It will serve no purpose and it may increase your nitrates. As for a light look for a palm light or a small fixture like this one - http://www.marinedepot.com/ps_viewitem.asp...channelid=FROOG Link to comment
