I've seen a few tanks like this, but I have the Nova Extreme 18 light, but I was wondering if its possible to have this deep blue look, and if so how to get it? oh yeah, which out buying a MH lamp.. like, just getting a different bulb.

here is an example, I found this pic on google, NOT MY TANK...

I have no idea if your light can make that color spectrum, since I run MH sunpod. But the reason that the picture looks "deep blue" look is Actinic lighting.

I'm not sure about that nova fixure but you can buy blue and pink actinic buls that will definately give you system and nice blue and purple hue.

this is what my lamp runs, One 18 Watt SlimPaq 10K and one 18 watt 460nm Actinic Blue T5 HO fluorescent lamp.

I just dont want any light change I would do be harmful to my softies.. would just want the light still be intense enough for them..

Right now, there are not that many options for 18" 20w t5 lamps. You are limited to 10,000K and actinic. You could get another fixture and run two more actinics but that wouldn't replicate what you are looking for very well, it would probably be too blue. Another option, although a little ghetto, would be to purchase a 18" fluorescent fixture from walmart and run an extra N.O. actinic. That wouldn't break the bank too much, but it would not add as much blue as you want.

Or you could get something like this:

and have all the lamp choices you could ever want, and then even more, just to confuse you. With both of these fixtures, you would have a lot of light, and your corals would really thrive.
