I bought Oatay's plumber's putty. The guy at lowes told me that it is safe to use in the aquarium. Is this putty safe to use???

I read your advice and found the superglue. However, I couldn't find the aquarium putty. The only putty I found at the store is plumber's putty. It doesn't seem to have two parts to the putty. Just one big putty in a cup.

can i just use the superglue by itself??? LIke submerge it into the water and glue it? Or do I need to glue the rocks when it is out of the water? Oh by the way, thanks for the fast reply.

look in the paint section by all the other glues. It will come in a plastic tube. $3

Home Depot sells the Aquamend brand, I do not know what Lowes sells.

I have only glued a few things so far. I have just used the super glue gel. So far so good. Everything is holding nicely. I just take the frag out of the tank, pat dry with a paper towel, put a glob of glue on it that is big enough to make a good sized blog but not so big that it squishes out too much when I put the two pieces together, then put it onto the rock where I want it. I rock it back and forth once to break the skin the water makes on it then just hold it there for about 20 - 30 seconds. Then I check it agin in a few hours and the next day. All my corals have been on small pieces of rock though. So I have been gluing rock to rock, not coral to rock.

I say when in doubt listen to StevieT!
