Converting My 72G Bowfront

I have been thinking about starting a bigger tank for some time now and today I won a pair of Picasso Clowns in a drawing at the LFS. That was the push I needed to convert my 72G freshwater to a reef tank. I know it won't be a nano reef so is it appropriate to discuss a setup here or should I move to a different forum group. I don't want to make inappropriate posts on this forum but you folks have been a wealth of information and a pretty friendly bunch of people to boot.

 We don't care weather its .00001 gallons or if its 10,000 gallons! You are welcome on the forum despite your tank size! Let us know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks Josh.

My initial plan is 60 lbs of live sand and 50 lbs of live rock (not cured). To start I'm going to rely on the sand and rock for bio filtration and a skimmer for proteins. I have a Cascade 800 cannister filter that I will run 2 or 3 times a month (or as needed) to polish the water and take out floating debris. It will not be used for anything else except to maybe run some carbon if it should be necessary. I haven't settled on pumps yet but I'm thinking of two Koralia Nr 3 or 4 placed on opposite ends of the tank (any ideas here would be welcome). I don't plan on a refugium yet depending on how the water params and general health of the tank go. Lighting will be a Corallife Aqualight Deluxe Double power compact.

After the tank has cycled and stabilized I'll move the stuff from my 29G Bio cube which includes about 30 lbs of rock, zoas, rics, palys, candy cane, flower pot and some red mushrooms. I've done pretty well with my 29G but I'm stepping out into some uncharted territory with the 72G so I'm sure I'll have questions.

Here's a pic of my 29G. Disregard the grungy glass... tomorrow is water change and glass cleaning day.
