white particles floating in water

i saw a thread on this topic a few weeks ago, but couldn't find the thread using a search. anyways, i have a lot of white particles floating in my water. they seem to be randomly blown out of my powerhead. my setup is:

removed carbon filter in chamber 1, replaced with oceanic skimmer.

removed bioballs in chamber 2, replaced with live rock rubble in bottom, chaeto on top of the live rock, and a bag of purigen in the filter tray.

removed stock pump and blue sponge from chamber 3, replaced with maxijet 900 with a hydor flow rotating head and a stealth 50w heater.

the purigen had fine powder all over the bag when i removed it from it's packaging, so i'm not sure if it's the purigen, but it's been in the tank for like 3 weeks now. i don't know if it could be coming from the chaeto or the live rock, but should i replace the blue filter in chamber 3 and just make sure i keep it clean? any help would be appreciated.

Is it particles or micro bubbles? Could also be pods or "dust" or a whole host of things. First thing I would suggest it taking the LR rubble out and then to polish the water of these particles get yourself some filter floss.

Its probably tiny pieces of sand getting tossed around. When my gobies sift the sand it gets worse. You need to polish the water. Run a canister filter for a couple hours and it should clean it up a bit or a hob filter with floss. If you have alot of flow it will most likely kick sand up also.
