Frozen Cyclops vs frozen Cyclop-eze

My LFS sold me a yellow clown goby. He's not eating mysis like he's supposed to. My friend bought one as well at the same time I did. His is eating Cyclop-eze with no problems. The LFS ran out of that and gave me Cyclops. The lil dude still won't eat. What's the difference between the two?

I don't have an answer to your specific question, but he may not eat the first couple of days and will munch on pods in the meantime. After it's hungry and tired of pods it will most likely take to the mysis just fine. Mine now eats frozen mysis and hikari marine a pellets, but at first he wouldn't even bother with either. I'd say just give it some time and observe him a bit and see if he's picking at the rocks or glass munchin some pods.

Yeah, I've had him for about 7 days now I think. He's been picking at my Favia actually. He digs into it and eats something. Comes out chewing on something. I think he at some of my SPS polyps too.

Well then he's probably staying full by just munching on things in the tank. It doesn't take a lot to get these little guys full. Hopefully it will adjust soon and start wanting something else more tasty like mysis. I know everyone in my tank goes insane when the frozen mysis comes out, lol.

I have a green clown goby in a 10g (err... had it in a 10g, it started to leak so now he's living in a 5g bucket :P) ... Sometimes I don't feed him for a week or two and he does just fine.

I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed!

However, still.. what is the difference between frozen cyclops and frozen cyclop-eze? Anyone? :)

You might consider feeding him some live brine shrimp, feeder shrimp, or pods just to get him interested again.

Give them some time. They got out of ich treatment about two weeks ago. We put ours into QT for two weeks and he's taking food with no issues.

And don't be surprised if you catch him eating your sps polyps. That's just what some of them do.

The LFS wanted to sell me Artic-pods in a bottle. It's not live pods. Think that would work?
