hollow
So I've been doing a little research to find out what negative effects I might encounter if I light my tank at night instead of the day because of shift work and couldn't dig up anything conclusive. From what I have gathered circadian rhythms have been observed in fish but I couldn't really find any conclusive evidence that changing the schedule would be detrimental to their health. As long as the lighting schedule was constant does anyone foresee any problems? The reason for changing this would be two fold. One my tank would be lit during the hours I was actually looking at it most. The other would be the lights would be on at night instead of the day and would help regulate temp. Anyone else do this? Longinus
I move my lighting times around based upon when I have class, switched it from lights on at 12:00pm to lights on at 6:30 over the course of a couple weeks. Link to comment
