mrbigshot Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 i was down at my lfs and spotted some zoa's. the owner didnt really know because he orders them as just colored zoa's. the first pick is from one of the 55gal frag tanks with 4 t5ho's and its pretty bad because he had just got done cleaning the tank. there are 2 together, one all green and the other green with red and some button polops. they are green with a purple ring and the others are red pink if i rember right. the second pic is from another 55 with a coralife hqi/pc setup. there pretty expensive at $39.99 but i wouldnt mind one of them.
aquascaper08 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 The red ones look like flame Polyps and the green ones seem to be Atomic Greens but it is hard to tell with the blurry picture. If the lfs doesn't know what they are maybe you should find a new store. With a clear view, most if not all people with just a little experience will be able to tell what they are. lol
chazde3 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 I'd say eagle eyes or watermelons, and radioactive dragon eyes(not sure).
MitchReef Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 The green ones are Radioactive Dragon Eyes (RDE's) and the orange ones are Eagle Eyes.....
BKtomodachi Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 They are zoanthids. Common names are getting a bit out of hand for these particular corals, as there is no definite line between the "types", and the names are really only there to increase their value. If you like them, get them, for sure!
