How loud is the sunpod fan?

Title says it all. I currently own a 96watt coralife that has a fan. It is really loud. I'm looking to upgrade my light to a 150watt hqi and the sunpod is in my price range. Before I buy it I would like to know how loud is the fan on this light. Anyone with this fixture please help me out. Thanks

Its not super quite but its not super loud. If you have ever heard a cpr bakpak skimmer its about as loud as that. Its a gentle hum...it doesn't bother me.

Thanks, a gentle hum beats my coralife any day. Sounds like its cutting grass.

Maybe theres a break in period? As long as its not too loud its fine with me. I have my tank in my room and I'm a very light sleeper. I need absolute silence. I sleep during the day when the light is on.

i think there is

but you should be fine

and you can progressively change your lighting schedule

i think some people on here run theirs at night

I have the 96w coralife which sounds like it runs on diesel and I have the sunpod. I don't notice the noise from the sunpod, my skimmer is louder.
