clownfish...no anemones other options alike?

hey everyone, I am wondering what clownfish would love instead of anemones because I will most likely not be able to have anemone in my tank.

I heard bubble coral is pretty close, however arent they in the "aggressive" side?

clowns host xenia and the xenia will not close because of the clown. you can also try open brain corals. For some reason my clowns chose to host my flowerpot coral instead of my RBTA, and my flowerpot, after two days, doesn't mind the clowns any more.

CLowns will host anything they really want to... Powerheads, mag scrapers, etc. Even if you get any and all things that people have had luck with, your clowns may just choose not to host it. I think they are slightly retarded, but in a cute way.

frogspawn or hammer coral works well too. but medachef is right, if they don't wanna host it, they won't.

Clowns don't need something specific to host in. They'll choose something, most likely something in the back corner of your tank where you can barely see it.
