nasone
i looked this morning at my xenia and it seemed to slow down with the opening and closing of each arm/pom/pom i did water test all seems good (is good) but my sg wich was at 1.028 (not good) so i did a water change and now iam back to 1.025 do you think that was the problem it still looks a little slow Link to comment
GregH
Xenia is a bit hard to gauge. Some have luck with it and others, such as myself, keep trying and hoping it will do something. One of my local sw dealers says they prefer a dirtier tank. I don't know if that is the case or not as my tank has gotten pretty dirty in the past and it still did not look as nice as it did in my dealers tank. If it was looking good and pulsing before it will probably return to normal in a day or so. Greg Link to comment
StevieT
probably not but there is always that unknown factor. Xenia will often stop pulsing for no apparent reason. We don't even fully understand why they pulse in the first place. Give is some time, they will start up again, become more normal if you water quality and tank is in good shape. Link to comment

disaster999
since were on the topic of xenia, could anyone tell me if xenia moves around? i bought a rock of xenia a month or 2 ago. i rest it up against one of my other rocks in the tank. the xenia quick attached itself to the other rock and it seems to be pulling itself onto that rock. the connective tissue on the rock it came on is getting smaller and smaller. is that normal? If you like it, this is a good way to get a tank full of xenia. If you don't like it, you will curse every time the stupid weed decides that a different rock is better than the rock that it is on. dsoz Link to comment
