mbike01
Friend got me two pieces of umbrella leather. One looked healthy in his tank and the other still had the rubber band around it... The one with the rubber band around it was placed in my tank and it attached to a rock facing horizontal.. Is this bad and will it start to grow towards the light and straighten up or should i make it attach vertically for light? The other one has not extended his little feelers that he had in the other tank.. All other corals are doing good. Params are good (0's) as per me and the LFS. Is this normal for it to take a while for leathers to bounce back? Link to comment
tinyreef
i think i understand your question but a picture of the two corals would be very helpful. it's ok to have the sarco on an angle. the coral is actually used to moving with the light, e.g. changing sun positions during the day. so the stalk and coral are capable of adjusting to different angles. it should change its angle and point upwards given some time, maybe a few days to a week, tops. they're not too used to being moved though, that's the difference with the 2nd coral probably. it's still adjusting itself to a new environment (probably). again, without pictures and more info, much of the discussion of diagnosing is guesswork. hth Link to comment
