syntax_error
Hi guys! I just got my first corals! W00T! BUT, when I came home and inspected a bit I found the following on one of the frags. Is it aiptasia? By the way, I noticed this too. Link to comment
syntax_error
Oh, oh and one more thing. I saw a coral that looked very similar to GSPs but it didn't have stalks like in GSP. It looked like m..a grass lawn basically. Does anybody know what it can be? Link to comment
tinyreef
the first pic is aiptasia (in the middle). not sure what you're specifying in the 2nd pic though. we'll need a pic of the grass/gsp thing you mentioned to make a rough guess. Link to comment

Ah..darn it. I'd have to deal with that aiptasia then. Oh the second pic. There isn't a question related to that. If you look close enough you can see the zoanthid biting its own skirt. Just wanted to share. Thank you for the help tinyreef! Link to comment
Daemonfly
Yup, 1st is aiptasia. 2nd, if it's a pally, they're known to take in some foods, so thats what it might actually be doing. Link to comment
lilredneckman
+3 on fist aptasia. On the paly it may just be weird. I have never seen one do that before. Link to comment

If you check 'The unusual and other shots' album on ZoaID.com there are a few more pics of zoas biting their own skirt. Link Link to comment

Yes, it really does feel nice. Now I want to get more..lol! ah..the big wait. I went through that too. I had to wait like 2 months..probably even more till I got the tank. Afterwards, I waited another month before adding anything (cycling). God, that wasn't easy! As the saying goes, good things take time! Link to comment
