Planning to add a 3rd all in one to the family.Advice needed

I plan on picking up the BioCube 29. Couple questions. Are there any skimmers that fit with it? Also what size powerhead/brand can I upgrade to without being too strong ?

Myself I run the stock pump and have a Rena XP1 with the spray bar across the back for extra flow. I also have a another PH setting on top of the stock pump with a u tube that goes up and over the back wall pushing water across the display back wall.

 

Many people were putting the Rio 6HF in but complained it was noisy and some said it was to much flow. I have heard of some using the Maxi-Jet 900.

 

You have 3 choices on skimmers a HOB, one that will go into chamber 2, Sapphire and Tunzes make a nano one that will work with the BC29. Then you have the cheap air lift type. Oceanic actually makes on for the BC that goes into the 1 chamber but others have used the Berlin airlift and other types. These are notoriously inefficient and very hard to keep working consistently.

 

There are alot of BC29 uses hear you will get the answer you need soon enough.
