Hi, I was just wondering if i could get an idea of the things i must have...I have a good filter, a good heater, I'm buying a 150 watt pendant metal halide, and i have all the live rock and sand and stuff....other than that what do i need? And what is the most efficient way to mix salt, without going over or under?

depends on how much you need to mix but if you need a small amount then a 5gal bucket with a powerhead works great

if you need more, then a rubbermaid trash can works great with a powerhead or pump, something to mix it up without having you mix it yourself, and then hook up a hose to the pump and pump it into the sump or tank

if it gets hot in your area or if your tank gets hot i would think about something to keep the temps low, maybe a fan or chiller

TDS meter... Great for checking RO water before buying it. I take mine to the store with me so I know if the water I'm purchasing is good. If not I don't get it. You can also use it at home to check your own RO unit water to know when the filters need changing.
