sl-atl
Anybody have experiences to share with common sea cukes (Holothuria impatiens) in a nano? My wife really wants one, but I've read that if cukes eviscerate themselves it will basically kill everything in the tank so I'm pretty nervous about this... These guys are supposed to be on the safer and hardier side, and cheap enough that I won't feel to badly if it has to make a 1-way trip to the LFS when it gets too big. Link to comment
uglyamericanV1.5
some cukes think its a good idea to stick their head in an intake, or fan, or all kinds of stupid stuff.... they can even "let go" of the subrate they are on and float around = get sucked up, get beat up by fish, ect ect.... they are very fragile in the sense, lets say it gets sniped by a hermit or damaged just alittle by a powerhead (even a small one that snails crawl over all the time) it will get stressed, even splitting it skin. they are cool, but i wouldnt do it if i was a noob (which i am, and i have, and it died in an idiotic way, causing not too many issues but it could of been bad). i am also the idiot that bought a purple nudi, which killed itself in a similarly stupid way. if you have crabs, i definatly wouldnt do it. just saying.
