greeneyes
Can you tell us a little more about the tank. Did you use live sand/rock from an established tank. Link to comment
Withers
If you bought cured live rock (or pulled live rock from an establish system), you may very likely not see a cycle. The only time a cycle occurs is when there is dead or dying material on the live rock which causes ammonia to spike. Have you seen a diatom bloom yet? (brown algae on the sand/rocks) Link to comment

(brown algae on the sand/rocks) very small diatom bloom i used carib sea arag-alive sand and the lfs told me the rock was from an established then moved to a holding tank because they took that tank down(the one the rock came from) also should i do a water change now or wait? Withers
It depends, if your nitrates are high, then yes. It is generally a good idea to do a water change after a cycle before adding any livestock. Link to comment

spanko
So have you been testing during the four weeks? Did you see in your test results any spike in any of the three parameters ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? What are the results of those tests right now? Link to comment
Withers
water looks good nitrates are at 0? Well, either way, if there was going to be a cycle I would think it would've happened in the first month. I'd do a water change anyway and then start to slowly stock it. What kind of test kit are you using, out of curiosity? Link to comment

spanko
I would not trust the strips., but do trust the API stuff. I am with VicSkimmer now. Do a 10% water change. Test again and if all is still gold start to slowly add some snails. What size is this system? Link to comment

spanko
Nice equipment. For your snails mix it up some.Since it is only a 12 gallon I would get: 1 Astrea 1 Nassarius 1 Cerith and 1 of either Trochus or Nerite. Try to stay away from the Mexican Turbos if you can. Just my opinion though. By the way where are the damn pictures. You can't get away with all of this help from people and not post pictures. We want them and we want them now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
