my 14 gal bio cube

ok is there anything i need to change in my tank.

 

-attinic light 14 hours

-full spectrum 12 hours

-live rock in chamber 2

-heater in chamber 1 (79 degrees)

-15 lbs of live rock in tank

-ph 8.2

-nitrites o ppm

-nitates 10 ppm

-ammonia 8 ppm

-protien skimmer in chamber 2

- 8 snails

-3 red legged hermit crabs

-3 blue legged hermit crabs

-LED lights on 24 hours

-stock pump

-im using the stock filter cartridge

How long has your tank been up for? 14 hours could be a little long for the Actinic lighting and may promote algae growth. Maybe not though, that could be debated. Everything else sounds pretty good, but I am still interested how long this system has been up for?

 

Post some pictures of it too if you would like us to critique your setup further.

ok well the tank has been up since saturday and the live rock is from my old FOWLR and i bought pre mixed salt water from my LFS and our friend at my LFS said give it just three days to cycle and it would be fine to add the CUC then wait two weeks then add coral so i took his advice and did that and the tank seems fine oh and th attinic runs and hour befoer and an hour after the full spectrum for that sunrise and sunset effect
