LSUtiger
I'd like to get a sump/refugium in the stand of my 20H and an auto-top off resevoir. I only have 21" x 9.5" x 24" to work with....this is wall to wall, nearly. Access to get anything in would be through the front door, which is ~11-11.5" wide, so given the 9.5" width (or depth) I should be ok to get anything that will fit under the stand through the door. I would need to mount my power strips above on one of the walls. I'll take suggestions on this as well. I have two of the single row power strips with timers hanging off of these. I see a 5.5g AGA has dimensions of 16 3/8" x 8 3/8" x 10 1/2". This hardly seems worth it..??.. The tank is not drilled. I currently have an AC110 serving as a small fuge. If I am limited on options in the stand I would not be opposed to keeping the AC110 and using a sump as only a sump. My preference is to do it all below. I'm not that good with DIY and I don't have the tools for cutting acrylic and what not....but don't let that stop any suggestions. I could have someone build it for me probably....lifereef if nothing else if I don't mind paying stupid amounts of money. I'd probably go store-bought on an auto-top off....maybe JBJ, but I may need suggestions on a tall slender top-off resevoir. This post is getting long. Thanks for any tips/advice. epicfish
Get HD to cut acrylic for you. Then put it together yourself. It's pretty cheap. And you won't have to care if it looks good or not. Just leak test it to make sure and you're good to go! As for the RODI reservoir...I gotta think about that one. Link to comment

Mark I'm doing the same... thanks for typing all that stuff is it an AGA stand?? wood? A 10 gallon would fit in there if you were to take off the 20 gallon and dorp it in... but you are prolly like me and don't want to remove all the water out of the tank, not to mention rocks and sand. but that wouldn't leave any room for a reservoir. hope someone can come up with a plan. I may ask thecowkid how much it would be to fabricate a sump/fuge. maybe if we get it together he can cut us a deal?? Link to comment
LSUtiger
Thanks for the reply....keep 'em coming. I think the stand was a Perfecto stand from Petco or Petsmart. I've had it awhile and don't remember exactly. Mark Link to comment

Mark i also have a Perfecto stand for my 30g. its hard to find standard tank sizes that will fit in there. the biggest i could find that would fit in mine was a 15H. i was really hoping for a 20L but it was just too big. i was thinking about building a tank from glass inside the stand itself, but i didnt know how hard it would be to silicone the glass together inside the stand.
