Help! Aquarium leak.

Ok so I finally got my aquarium setup and cycling. The next day water began dripping from the "seams." I've been using this stuff called "goop," wherever I feel wet spots. But then it seems that it just drips in another place. I really want to try to fix this without draining the water, and taking out live rock and sand. I've heard that you can drain the water, and take out live rock and sand. Then take the aquarium apart, scrape off the old silicone[ and use alcohol], and then apply new silicone. I could do this, but I don't want to have to drain it, take it apart, etc. Plus I'm not good at taking apart, siliconing. So does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this without draining, taking apart, etc.

How big is the tank ? I would try and get a replacement if the tank is new !

Put everything in a Rubbermaid bin and call customer service. What tank is it? If its just a standard size AGA or Perfecto I would just get a new one from the store today.

Dripping at the seams is big, big trouble. It means your aquarium was just poorly assembled, and trust me, you aren't going to be able to "patch" it in such a way as to make it stable for the long term, at least not without emptying it.

I would get another tank, one way or the other. Or, if you are really feeling patient, tear it apart and reglue it, but that really is a pain, and it has to be done correctly, or you will end up back where you started.

I would like to add that it is an older tank, and I got it from someone else, so replacing it is not an option. I'm not even sure what brand it is. Does anyone knows who makes a 29.5x12x16 aquarium?

hmm those are some odd dimensions.

I would break it down and reglue it. Do some reading first about how, there is a right and wrong way.
