Any ideas for a refugium in a solana

I have the solana 34 and want to put a refugium in it. I want to put it under the cabinet and have the plumbing go behind it so it's not an eye sore. Anybody have any ideas??

There is an empty section in the back that houses the pump with a couple of top of valves. Would it be beneficial to add algae rock and sand to that area?

I'm tossing around the idea of creating a fuge in the display in one of the corners where the false back wall tapers. One possibility is to silicone a fine mesh net to separate that corner and adding some chaeto.

I was thinking of a few things actually. I was thinking of using a HOB fuge liek the cpr aqua fuges, or a removable acrylic box in the back chamber. Or even a converted HOB fuge like an AC110.

Or going with the same idea that dj has with the tapered areas.

Not entirely sure how to proceed,.. Wish they made an enclosed unit that was like a canister filter that we coudl fill with cheato and feed our chiller with it as well. now thatd be nice.

I've got an idea for a solana fuge that I think will still keep the general look of the tank...just need someone to fabricate it for me (or just cut the acrylic panels & I can assemble. Any suggestions?? Oh, and it's designed to work with a chiller....
