Caius
Tank is only 1 week old and undergoing cycle but this THING, whatever it is is growing slowly. Looks like some sort of polyps. Can anyone ID this please. Thanks. Link to comment
Nevermind
Looks like hidden cup corals, are the rocks from Florida? http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...ight=hidden+cup They can look like coral skeletons when the tentacles are not out...but that one does look kinda dead. If its still growing then it must be alive still, check it out at night to see if any clear tentacles come out. Usually the ones with color (skeleton color) are photosynthetic and comes out during the day, the white ones are the non-photo kind that requires food. Link to comment
Caius
Thanks. I think it's still growing especially in the upper right part but I'm not 100% certain. I'll keep a photo log over the next week and see if there are any differences. I'll also peek in at night and see if any tentacles show up. BTW, I have not idea where the LR came from. The LFS just had it labeled as Fiji rock. Thanks again. Link to comment
