saltman123 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I have a 12 gallon Aquapod and have a small little crew of crabs and snails holding it down. I was wondering what everyone has in their tank? Seems like my crew does a good job, but no one likes to eat a little green algae that grows here or there. I've had a few snails die off, but my hermits are mostly still there since the first of my crew. What does your clean up crew consist of??? 12 Gallon Aquapod Mine crew currently is: 2 Scarlet Reef Hermits 1 Tiny Blue Leg Hermit 2 Blue Leg Hermits 2 Zebra Hermits 4 Nassarius Snails 1 Bumble Bee Snail 1 Astrea Snail 3 Cerith Snails What do you have???

saltman123 Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 I have tons of baby white and larger brittle stars too. I used to see a lot more bristle worms in the past but now I only see a few here or there. I also have a Blood Shrimp who hides 99% of the time.
Duncan Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 My little helpers are: 1 coral band shrimp 2 skunk cleaner shrimps 7 nassarius snails 4 astrea snails 3 turbo snails 3 turban snails 2 cerith snails yup, that's about all, for my 20g.
Scott Riemer Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 SCARY Clean up Crew!!!! No, MOTLEY CRUE.
eklikewhoa Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 NC12g 1 blue legged hermit(tiny) 1 Nassarius snail 3 Chestnut turbos 1 Queen conch
glennr1978 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 40g. 3 or 4 crabs 7 or so snails 2 sand sifting starfish maybe I should add a bit more. I've kinda been more interested in watching my snails & crabs than anything else in my tank lately, is that wierd?
saltman123 Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 Guess with 7 hermits and 9 snails I have a lot compared to a few of you guys. Seems like my tank could easily take on a few more since the snails aren't out most of the time, but eat at night.
H20 Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 24 gallons: 7 Astraeas 1 Turbo 4-5 Nassarius 5-7 Ceriths I Scarlett Reef Hermit 3 dwarf Blue leg hermits 2 dwarf zebra hermits 1 Emerald Crab I feel that I could get by with less crabs, as they make me nervous, but I like watching them
saltman123 Posted November 26, 2007 Author Posted November 26, 2007 My crabs don't seem to bother anything other than the snails. They also like to fight with each other but other than that i've never seen a crab do anything bad to anything else. They do move stuff around in the sand though
OFG Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 In 10g: 5 - Astrea snails 5 - Blue legged hermits 2 - Nassarius snails 1 - Emerald crab 1 - Peppermint shrimp Unknown number of tiny starfish Unknown number of Cerith snails (Bought two and then the little buggers must have been fooling around behind my back...that is, of course, if they even need to fool around...because now there's a lot of tiny baby Ceriths everywhere)
kidrobot Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 In my NC24g 3 - nass. snails 3 - astrea snails 2 - scarlet hermits 1 - skunk cleaner shrimp 7 - ceriths snails
