samstersam
Ok guys, here is the reeftard threading again... I bought the iceprobe and temp controller, and DIY'ed the whole Aquaclear mini thingey....(it just BARELY fit on my 15gallon with the medium sized Aquafuge CPR) NOW questions: 1) I didn't do a sooper job melting the plastic cover of the aquaclear mini...hence it was not a perfect circular hole.... do u think if i maximized insulation on the flimsy aquaclear plastic cover and neatly cut a styrofoam square with a round hole, better fitting the white plastic probe of the iceprobe, it will do a better job of cooling? The better the insulation of the peltier from both sides (the water side and air side) the better the cooling, correct? Or at least that's what i surmised.... 2) My temp controller did not come with an instruction book...did yours? I'm assuming the dead end wire with the black rubber at the end is the temperature sensor that i dip in the water, correct? If it's not what i think it is, i think my house will blow up) 3) Ok i figured out the temperature sensor thingey...i hold it in my hand and heat it up the chilller starts pumping...cool.... BUT...the fan is supposed to run 24/7? even if the temp controller tells the peltier to stop cooling? My fan runs all the time even if below the threshold temperature... thanks guys! Link to comment
