kinetic
hmm LMK i would like some frags, (ill buy when ready....) im real mad because the frag of idaho grape you gave me was attacked by diatoms(i guess my sis overfed while i was gone on vacation), and my nitrates can never get below 10, so i think that sps is a no no for me untill i get a good skimmer and change my habbits, but hey im up for a few frags if you let me know what you will have later I'll be fragging a bunch very soon. I'll give you first dibs. I'll get you another frag of idaho grape I'm selling my caps and birdsnest first. They're taking up too much room. btw, I just brought the ELOS tank home. OMG it is freaking beautiful!!! I'm going to go unpack it and take pictures. Quote Link to comment

kinetic
ELOS System 120 Arrives - [ 10/04/07 ] After dinner I headed over to the ELOS warehouse in Pleasanton, CA. It's about 35 minutes from my house. I took my little 86 Toyota truck. When I got to the warehouse, I saw a handful of beautiful ELOS tanks being moved around. It was like a dream. I found a few System 120's, and picked one out. I brought it home, along with the sump, skimmer, return pump, topoff, etc etc... Packaged up on the floor: This is super fragile! unwrapping... sexy tease: swish ~ drumroll... Beauty: Front side: Right side: Edited October 5, 2007 by kinetic Quote Link to comment
kinetic
Unwrapping the ELOS Sump - [ 10/04/07 ] Along with the tank came the sump (sump box on left, stand on far left): Opening her up: Comes with a cool cover... I'm probably not going to use it: Sump next to Tank, get to know each other! You're going to be working together for awhile: Side View: Front View: In the above pictures, I took out all the equipment, but it literally comes with EVERYTHING. Only a handful of things aren't included, which I mostly have already. I'll take pictures of the Skimmer etc. tomorrow! I'm too pooped... TGIF! Edited October 5, 2007 by kinetic Quote Link to comment
divecj5
That thing is straight sexy...I'm sure that you sat up all night just staring at it. I know I would have. I would just say don't even fill it up with water. Only true hobbyist will come over and enjoy seeing this tank not even filled up. It appears that the long wait and planning sure pays off with something of that quality. Congrats. Quote Link to comment
cmador
That's a beauty, congrats. Quote Link to comment
Fishfreak218
Wow. I hate you.... Nice tank! Cant wait to see it set-up! Are you going with pendants or putting a canopy? JMO but I would go with pendants... if you put the canopy on it then it looses some of its sleekness at least.... to me it does. -Josh Quote Link to comment

I'll be staring at it later tonight I'm sure Yeah it looks good without water... with water it's going to have corraline, algae, fish poop... =X Wow.I hate you.... Nice tank! It's an ELOS tank, braceless rimless, it would defeat the whole purpose of having such a tank if you put a canopy on. If you also read my first post, you'll see the setup. kinetic
Very Nice Kinetic...cant wait to see it in action Izzue Thanks Izzue. I'm planning to get it plumbed up and running by Thanksgiving. Maybe nothing but water, but all the equipment in place. I'm ordering two EcoTech Vortech pumps with the new wireless driver controllers on Monday. And shortly after, I'll need to get my lighting. Those are the two pieces that are left to buy. In the meantime I'll just get my drain and return plumbed, the Ca Reactor, chiller, and phosphate reactor. Quote Link to comment
Cesar
Damn that thing looks insanely nice. What a beauty. Quote Link to comment

msn711
Are the wireless drivers back in stock somewhere? I haven't heard anything on when they would become available. Quote Link to comment
kinetic
Are the wireless drivers back in stock somewhere? I haven't heard anything on when they would become available. They're going for $75 now, but ecotech is concentrating on pumping out the new vortech's that have the wireless controllers built in. Quote Link to comment

kinetic
I started putting the sump together today, here's what I got done: 1. Put sump in the stand 2. Installed the Osmolater 3. Installed the Skimmer with feed pump and drain into filter sock 4. Put the return pump in, it's ready to be plumbed. 5. Quiet One 1200 in sump feed to my chiller 6. Chiller output plumbed to a GFO Reactor (Phosphate Reactor), outputs into the filter sock Basically sump is done other than drain and return. Here's what's left to do: 1. Install drain 2. Install return 3. Install Calcium Reactor 4. Install / Mount AquaController III and DC8's 5. Replace the center brace on the stand 6. RO/DI Setup and fill the tank! 7. Vortech Pumps 8. AquaScape 9. Lighting Quote Link to comment
msn711
They're going for $75 now, but ecotech is concentrating on pumping out the new vortech's that have the wireless controllers built in. I just checked aquarium specialty and the new vortechs with the wireless controller is $75 more than the old one. But they're still out of the wireless controller by itself. 1. Something about the price hike seems unnecessary to me. 2. Is anyone else carrying the the wireless controller? I thougth I read somewhere that aquarium specialty was going to be the only supplier for a while. I didn't see them at Reef Geek either. 3. I'm still not convinced that I need a controller, even if it makes a 2" wave, in a predominantly LPS tank. Quote Link to comment
