FLcracker94
I got 2 emerald crabs yesterday, and I just saw a small part about them on an article...It said that most "hairy" crabs are bad, exept mitrax. So, question: Will mithrax emeralds eat corals? I know mine should be mitrax, cause the article said mithrax, were smooth shell, hairy legs, and a scoop like claw, EXACTLY like the two in my tank. Thanks, not realy an invert person, so I'm not sure what's good or what's not. Link to comment

kenthenanoguy
Emeralds are really the only thing for a nano that will eat bubble algae or at least to my knowledge. I've read that they might nip at corals...and I've had trouble keeping them alive (don't know why) I would say that if you don't have bubble algae problems then you don't need one. - Ken Link to comment
shiveley
my emeralds have been model citizens in my mixed reef tanks. Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
my emeralds have been model citizens in my mixed reef tanks. Ditto. If you see them on corals IMO they are eating necrotic tissue. Link to comment
