raleej337
cut it into half at the center of its mouth. after cutting don't put it back into your display tank, it'll crash your tank. Link to comment

kkyyllee
8 inches isnt huge, some anemones are easy to frag others its harder and u might kill both peices Link to comment
joel sandoman
fragging an anenome make sure you read it in it's entirety before doing anything. and find out what type of anenome you have. google 'anenome' under the image section Link to comment

adinsxq
do not attempt to force propagate any anemone that has not been positively identified or is new or not healthy Link to comment
kkyyllee
why do you need to frag it, just because its too big for your liking? Link to comment
bishoptaner
no i wont frag it without knowing which one its. and yes i would like to make it smaller for my tank i thing it would look huge in my tank. but if i cant then i wont just wonder if i could. Link to comment
kkyyllee
odnt get it then, look for a smaller one but they will all grow that large and can get larger Link to comment
FLcracker94
You frag the nem, your gonna get 2 big nems. simple as that. Just let it grow naturaly, that way you don't end up with 2 big anemones. Link to comment
Pickle010
Didn't you just set up your BC29? First off you shouldn't attempt an Anem for 6 months. Second - the stock lighting in a BC29 will not support an Anem - yes it could live but it will not thrive. Third - 8" is not large for an Anem - mine grew to 12" diameter before I rehomed him in only a few short months. Even if you got a smaller one or fragged it - guess what? It will just grow again. How do I know this? Because I've made this mistake. Good Luck Link to comment
FLcracker94
not only will it grow again, but the other peice will as well. It's also difficult to frag a nem. Don't frag it, let it grow. Link to comment
