Lighting project

I have a 10g standard tank that I want build lighting for. I looked at a few sites and want to know which are the best and if anyone has a link for a good build on a 10g. I am not that great with electronics but I want to give this a shot, I plan on building my own canopy as well. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Dave

I recommend a 150W MH retrofit kit. You won't have heat issues if you ventilate your hood - use a pair of 12V computer fans to exhaust hot air. There's very little to wiring up a retrofit kit - some are even prewired.

You'll be able to keep pretty much anything with 150W MH - high light corals up top, low light corals down low.

Many online stores offer retrofit kits. Try hellolights.com, or contact a member on this site - Lampdr. He used to sell retrofit kits, though I don't know if he still does, or even if he uses the site anymore.

I don't know which store is the "good" store these days - none of them ship to Canada so it's not worth my while keeping track of them.
