BC29 Bulkhead

Anyone put a bulkhead in the back or bottom of a BC29? I have never liked the filtration from my BC. I was thinking of drilling a hole in the bottom under the center or far left chamber(the one the pump is in) and dropping it down to a sump/fuge then return it back. Any thoughts?

I have been waiting for someone to try this. I want to add a 10 gallon in the stand. I was thinking of putting an overflow pipe through the back wall of the 2nd chamber and then the return back into the 3rd chamber. I was hoping to see this done sucesfully before I try it. My tank is running and it will be a big project to empty everything and do this and put it back together.

 

If you do it please post pics and tips.
