surftaco
I'm looking for an all-in-one to setup in my daughter's room. I want one that is really small. I looked at the pico's but they dont have covers on the top. Any suggestions would be great! Surf Link to comment
Obsessed Reefer
JBJ makes a 6gallon Nano-Cube, that's the smallest I've seen. Link to comment
BigAl07
What are your plans for this "micro-tank"? The smaller the tank the tougher it is to maintain. If you're opting for a FreshWater set up eclipse (I got one from Dr Fosters & Smith) makes them down to 5 gallons I think and maybe smaller. I wouldn't really suggest you got anything less than a 12g or 24g for SW as the tank gets out of whack way to quickly with such a small volume of water. Allen Link to comment
surftaco
I just wanted to keep some zoos and a small cleanup crew in there. Link to comment
Kirin1
Probably the Eclipse 3 It'll need some modding for reef use, but that's the fun part. Link to comment
Argent
unmodified - JBJ NanoCube 6 or BioCube 8 (I love my BC8) modified - Eclipse 3G (this was my first reef tank) Link to comment
surftaco
unmodified - JBJ NanoCube 6 or BioCube 8 (I love my BC8) modified - Eclipse 3G (this was my first reef tank) what mods need to be done to the eclipse? Link to comment
Argent
I removed the stock pump/filtration setup and replaced it with a small powerhead and I replaced the lighting with a coralife 18w mini aqualight mounted in to the stock hood. More details can be found here. Link to comment
jimbo327
Forget the Eclipse. Go with the JBJ Nanocube 6. I have one, it's nice, no modding and clean looking for your application. Trust me, go with reef ready tanks. Link to comment
