Mad Steez Posted June 15, 2007 Share Posted June 15, 2007 I have in my 12 gallon tank LR that was purchased at a store that has been in the display tank for a few months. I have started to cycle it just to be on the safe side for about 5 days. My nitrite and ammonia are 0, but nitrate is 20. Should I keep cycling it until nitrate goes down or is it cool to leave as is? Link to comment

circusordie16 Posted June 15, 2007 Share Posted June 15, 2007 nitrates probably wont ever go to 0 without a massive algae bloom or water changes. wait maybe a week and see if any ammonia develops, if not then youre good to go. the only cycle would result from die off from moving it. Link to comment
