lostdog
I think I've seen these before, though maybe not here. Not sure what they are, any help? They are small, maybe 1/4 inch long, and are clear tubes that are attached to the rock. I can't get a really good view of them unless I was to move the rock around since they are mostly hidden. CUNROE
I just saw those last night in Mr. Tullocks Natural reef Aquarium book. I think they are called truncates. From what I remember they are a filter feeder and a sign of good tank conditions. CPU Link to comment
SeaMountain
Do they look like the pics in this thread? http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=10757 Link to comment
lostdog
Cunroe: Do you mean Tunicates? I did some googling, and came up with similar looking things here http://www.seaotter.com/marine/research/cl...tsmani.jpg.html The things are hollow looking, and do not have any tentacles that I can see, so they don't quite look like what you've got SeaMountain. CUNROE
Lostdog, ya thats what I meant. My memory isn't as good as it use to be. I actually just got off the phone with a friend at the LFS and he told me they were tunicates. He didn't know exact name which is unsuall he knows every scientific name for every water critter there is. If anybody want me to when i get home tonight I can scan that pic from NRA and post the name if he give it. CPU Link to comment
lostdog
I found a web page that showed exactly what I've got since this person also ordered from Tampa Bay Saltwater, and he has a much clearer picture posted. http://www.carlwozniak.com/Aquarium/aquarium.html Thanks! Link to comment
