she's a big spender.

we cant help it that we are poor. and after taking out 4 mail boxes last week cause my breaks went out. then friday my water pump locked up on my cause, that cause my timing belt to snap. that set me back 250 something bucks. then i got home from working on my car all day and my kids were running 105 degree fevers. so we had to take them to the emergency room. that set me back about 400 + dollars. then we had to fill their persriptions that set me back 50 bucks. to be honest im luck that i even have a present under the tree. so yes a 10g tank does mean alot to me. So like the saying goes if you dont have nothing nice to say. dont say anything.

i think im going to go with a 150w MH if i have money during tax time. i cant wait. most of the lps suck around here. so getting good corals and such is going to suck. there is one store that everytime i go in there i tell them what is dead in their tank. its horrible. no filtration cause its all clogged. hair alge about 4 inches long its gross. not enough lighting. so the corals that they buy just sit and die... except mushrooms. they get huge there.

The lean ones are always the best!!!

?????? i dont understand.

I grew up pretty poor and I know I, my brother, and my sister always appreciated what we got for Christmas. It was always well thought out and I knew Dad and Mom really loved me and knew me, cause they always got me something that just fit. Not to say that folks who are more well off don't love their kids. I always knew Mom and Dad had to work really hard to make sure we got something nice. That just made it that more special to me. I appreciated it. It wasn't like it is so often now, kids just get handed everything they want and don't understand the value of anything. You know what I mean?

nice dude. im glad to hear that man. you still have anything(hard ware) from your last tank? your the guy who lost alot of things during the black out no? just wondering i have a few FW people who lost stuff too, in that storm. i'm glad to see your jumping back in. its always the small stuff that means the most. me would i rather have ten bucks or a 10g agaaquarium from wally? i'd take the 10g anyday! your wife is a wonderful lady!! merry christmas!!

I grew up in a welfare family not knowing my father, my mom tried to provide for myself and my six younger siblings. Money was always tight and she would always get really depressed around Christmas because of the commercialism that surrounds the holiday. The things that she got us pale compared to the love and support that she always had for us. Now I have two children of my own and stress about getting gifts for them and my wife. My wife quit her job to start her own business so it's been tight, I finally had to bite the bullet and say no gifts except for a couple of books for my little monkeys. But what it comes down to is the memories that are created, the gifts will be forgotten but the love and memories will be passed down to the next generation. Sorry I am rambling, bug sorry to hear about your misfortunes but it sounds like you have the right attitude! Have a good holiday all and sorry about my sappiness.
