tosi
nice selection on the rocks. Love the look of a new tank everything is so clean. Link to comment
quiksilver5768
I like the rocks you got... There are some nice big holes in them for critters and fish to swim through. IMO, I would use that long flat piece you have for something else (cave formation maybe) instead of just standing it up. Nice tank! Link to comment
lizbeth
Congratulations! It looks great! Is it a 20 "tall", 24x12x16? That's what I'm going to set up when I get the money together for lights and rock. Link to comment
GurnB
Thank You for the comments. lizbeth: It a 20H. Quicksilver5768: Those 2 'branch' pieces do need to go in a different location. My wife thinks I'm nuts for re-arrangeing the rocks constantly. I've posted a couple of other pictures on my web site. I'll keep updateing it as I go along. Link to comment
cjm033
thats a nice tank i just got a 28 gal bow front i hope it looks that good after cycling i love the rock formation and i have a question how much did the tank cost you when you were done not including the tank itself? i just wanna know how much im gonna have to put into my tank thanks ,Chris Link to comment
GurnB
cjm033: The Tank it's self was $35 at PetCo. (20H AGA Tank) The Eclipse2 hood was $50 @ PetSmart. (This had to be a mistake the List price is normally $99) I bought a CSL 55watt retro kit, 2 Micro-Jet's, & 2 Ebo-Jaeger heaters from Chris Marks The LR was $4.50 a Lbs (Hand Picked & Pre-Cured) from a LFS (28 lbs of LR) $35 for 20Lbs of LS. Misc $ for Test kits, Timers for lights. Total = More than I expected when I first started reading about putting together a tank. But right on the money once I understood what it takes to really put a tank together that you want to be proud of. That being said, there are a couple of things I would do differently next time. I will probably make a DIY Hood. (save $50 - $100) I'll get UNcured LR, and cure it myself ($1 - $2 per lbs cheaper, plus suring the 4-6 weeks my LR is cureing I have time to build my hood!) Oh well... Just my .02 Link to comment

GurnB
Well my first couple of LR hitchhikers are starting to show there faces. One is a snail. (Unknown type, about the size of a marble) And an Emerald Green crab. It's about the size of a nickel. There are also a couple of Feather Dusters poping up too! Here are some pictures of the newest family members. Link to comment
