ilektrik22
OKay my first question I have some zoa's (just the plain old green ones) anyway they have this hard white growths on the stock and it's driving me nuts. I can't find out what it is, I've checked for nudi's and snails, and fungus and I don't think it's any of these, also the zoa's seem to be doing alright their growing, I just want to make sure it isn't anything before i put any more into the tank. ( I also have a few peach centered ones that don't seem to have the white crusty stuff, but a few of them get this flaky white stuff on their face that can easily be blown off.) Sorry no pic, my dog ate my camera....waiting for the holidays... Oh also The colouring of false ( ocerisious....so slaughtered that!) and true percs...is it mainly that true get thicker black lines outlining the white and are a darker orange. Or due the true perc's turn black eventually? I really would like 2 clowns in my tank and I think I like the true perc, or the clarkii or the marroon...i just can't decide... thanks Link to comment
cooksalot
sorry i can't answer your questions, but i have one of my own regarding clowns. the guy at the lfs said they need to be kept in pairs, but i see many people here with singles. which is correct? christine Link to comment
reefdan
don't need to be kept in pairs but seem happier that way. many people don't keep them in pairs and they do fine. nice sugar glider. i always wanted one as a kid big they're illegal (hard to get) in california. the maroons are beautiful, but they get pretty big compared to the true and false percs. how big is your tank? can't help you with the zoas. try quarantining them. this will likely keep it from spreading if it is something bad.
