raciampa
I am beginning to notice different copeopods all through my tank. When they run through my zoos the zoos close up in the trail they take. What I was wondering are the copeopods beneficial ao detrimental? I have many different kinds, from what look like little shrimp to tiny white guys crawling on my glass. I have even seen a catapillar looking thing that was about 2 1/2-3 inches long. I am new to the game, so mabe someone could help? Thanks, Robert Link to comment
EtOH_is_good
the pods also rule in my tank. i think they only slightly irritate the zoanthids. i haven't read anything about long term damage caused by running over the skirts. Link to comment
Sushi
they're good for your tank... they are a food source for your fish and corals. some of them do look really creepy, but they'll eventually be eaten or venture too near a hungry coral... Link to comment
oldtimer
The zoos are closing up because the feeding response is being triggered by the pods touching the tentacles. Slow pod is dinner. Link to comment
Withers
the very small ones = copepods the larger ones = amphipods and the caterpillar = probably a bristle worm all are benificial. Link to comment
