5.5 Diy

I just bought a DIY set up for my 5.5. I dont have any wood working stuff so i had to make it easy all I have is a drill and a hack saw. please tell me what you think. I will post a pic once it is up.

DIY is the way to go. save's mass $$$$. Plus its built to your specs.

if you are starting a reef tank, don't use the "red bulb"... get another 50/50 or just the regular 6,700K... your inhabitants will look much better...

I painted mine flat black, but I think it is good to apply a glossy layer to make cleaning off the dust easier.

Thanks for the advice on the bulbs nexttime I go shoping I will get the 50/50 I just looked at the spectrum and they looked close so I bought one of each to try them out.
