Tank looks great!

Not sure if you know, but if you use the IMG code, you can post full size pictures instead of thumbnails.

Really cool 'scape! It's super clean and you've got some good coral mounting spots

I loooove acans, too. I can't wait to get more for my tank

Cheers Paige i didn't use anything to hold it together apart from the green "aqua" epoxy putty, it's strong as hell too. After I had pieced it together and let it cure I could carry it around with even the smallest rock segments, the two segments on the left are joined together while the third is shaped to fit snugly against the middle

I also love yer scape!!!

I put a Radion on my RSM, love it.

You have some pretty kickass rockwork yaself Spiro, thank you

I think I'm definitely going to get a radion, just as soon as I get the mounting sorted.

I struggled with how to best mount it as well. I ended up with the ceiling mount and building an acrylic "box" for the top to help shade the Radion, hide the back and keep fish from jumping. I was also able to add a double Zoomed fan on it for heat control.

Ceiling mount is a no go, I think I'm getting close to a solution will keep ya posted, I really liked the idea discussed on your thread about the "hqi" style lid.

What do you mean "double zoomed" fan??

This is the fan I mounted on my acrylic box:

Ooh I see I thought you had modded the radion! Haha

It keeps my tank 2 - 3 degrees cooler.

Luckily I already have an oversized chiller plumbed in, do you think the shaded area provided by the acrylic box is essential?. In my situation I can only see it being an issue at night but at the same time it should only be moon lights then so I'm not at all sure ha!

Personally, I like the shade it provides because when I sit in the chair the light would hit my eyes. Having said that, a radion on a topless tank looks very cool.

Here's a crappy pic of the top and the fan with the radion:

Aaaah, I Completely understand now, I guess that means I'll end up making a shield for mine to haha after all the time spent in the chair is most important. Thank you Spiro you have really helped me out.

Can't wait to see this thing fill out! It's gonna be epic! :D

Thanks so much, neither can I!!!!

Quality start here, looks like your doing it right from the get-go. I am wondering if a 9002 skimmer will be enough, I have always gone with big skimmers for my tanks, I feel it's key to a successful reef over time. Question is do you have the room for a bigger skimmer, maybe not. Sounds like your bio-load is small if you stick with the three fish, your 9002 may get you by. I do like what you are doing with the scape.

Hey nanotopia, I understand your concerns about the 9002, the skimmer is recommended for tanks larger than my own (up to 200 litres) . There are numerous successful RSM's on nano reef using the 9002. I am thus far very happy with its performance The only likely additional fish I will add is a mandarin and that's not a sure thing. Thanks for looking
