Yuma eating Asterina!

Check it out! I walked past my tank today and saw this:

Looks like the one next to it wanted to get in on the action too.

I have no idea how it wrangled this. The asterina is upside-down and seems to be immobile. This is probably the biggest one I've seen. I've been watching this starfish roam around the tank for a few months now. It has seven legs and from the looks of it, it was about to split (two mouths).

 

Just when I've thought the reef couldn't get more interesting, something like this pops up. I guess I should start feeding these things bigger food!

I wish my rics would eat those damn asterinas. I didn't take a picture, but I totally should have. One day one of my florida rics had a good 2.5" piece of serpent star leg hanging out of it's mouth. I had to pull it out :(
