Following in Rehype's footsteps I figured I'd give a go at an ADA 60-f. I love the simplicity of the setup and the great looks on the shallow tank. I'm just getting it setup right now...so here's a quick pic...

Some specs on the setup:

 

Tank:

ADA 60-f tank

ADA metal stand

ADA tank mat

 

Filtration/flow/heat:

Eheim ECCO Pro 35 External Canister Filter

ADA lily pipes (still waiting on the intake)

Hydor ETH 200 In-Line Heater

Vortech MP-10 wireless

 

Lighting:

ADA 150w MH with an ELOS 20K abyss bulb

 

Substrate:

10lbs of Marshall Island LR

5lbs (need more) live sand

 

Inhabitants:

 

1 ORA picasso clownfish

1 neon goby

3 blue leg hermits

1 gold claw boxer shrimp

2 sey shrimp

2 Spiny Star Astraea

2 Super Tongan Nassarius Snail

 

Coral:

2 heads of frog spawn

fruit loop zoas

eagle eye zoas

LA laker zoas

(all zoas are recovering from a Zoanthid-Eating Nudibranch outbreak)

I added some new members to the tank today:

And then my boxer shrimp must have been annoyed with the wait for food....so he found his own dinner.

Nice pics..Id be careful with that boxer shrimp though.Make sure you keep him fed so he doesnt consider going after your flaming goby.

He is TINY....like 1/2 inch or less. I would only put him in a very small tank.

yea as they get older they tend to become more aggressive. Golden claws are the smaller of the coral banded shrimps but they can have the same temperment. They are opportunistic hunters..

I switched lights from a 150mh to a 24inch, 4 bulb T5 unit from ATI. It fits damn near perfectly over the 60-f and looks tight. I also added some more LR and rescaped things a bit. Enjoy!

Nope...sold the Mini. I now have an ELOS System 70, ADA 60-f, and Pico high clarity 12.
