hydrozoans?

Mr. Microscope

This colony slowly popped up in the last few weeks. They are definitely not aiptasia. Kinda pretty dancing around in the current. Could they be hydrozoans? Will I see little jellies on the glass soon?

While yes they are hyrdrozoa

you probably won't see jellies

do to the fact that they are crappy swimmers

And will get sucked into your filter before you can say

Sort of resemble digitate hydroids except in your pics the tips seem to "flower" out, is that correct?

They are more flower-like.

I "borrowed" them from somewhere a long time ago so I could use them for this purpose. Not sure whose they were originally because I think the person I "borrowed" them from "borrowed" them from someone else. ;)
