Mojo's 40B in retirement

So, I moved up to the 40B's club.

Had good results with the 20L. Aquired a 40 setup from Texass2323.

Spent some time replumbing, removing black paint, painting the stand, etc.

Have just a couple pics to post:

Main Tank

Drain Detail. Elbow is not glued to allow some adjustment of water level within display.

Tank specs:

40B Drilled for two drains

20L sump

Q1 6000 that will be T'd off to supply main tank as well as secondary equiptment as needed.

For now excess flow returned to sump.

6x39 T5 in the mail. Updating blubs.

Vortech MP20 in the works

One Big A** skimmer courtesy of Glennr1978

Tank plans:

Move contents of 20L over. Mostly LPS / Polyps with a few SPS

Current livestock in the 20L

2x Black missbars

1 x Skunk Cleaner shrimp

1x small Goby...I forget the species

Various LPS, Zoas, SPS, Maxima, a softy or two.

The 40 is full of water, scaped and cycling. I'll post pics as projects are completed.

I'm really digging the room a 40B offers and getting lots of inspiration from other Nano members.

Thanks for looking -

Nice job, are you just using the elbows as drains?

Yep. The return is a single line over the top split into two centipedes. Center mounted.

sweet! did you put some bar mat over the drains? bad things happen if snails make their way into plumbing, don't ask me how i know.....

when are you planning on getting the plumbing for the return done? i'll come by and help out if you want.

Just waiting on the light.

Got a little done today.

Sump is 20L. Q1 6000 plumed with ball valve to left for an "accessory" line when I need it.

Top down...lots of room all the way around

When the light comes in, get that into the canopy and then wait...

Chaeto, sump light, other stuff coming over from the 20L...

Found this old 36" fixture while digging around. Couldn't help myself.

No, this is not the tank light, just better than looking at a dark tank.

Got a sweet deal on a MP 20 ... you fix it...it's yours....uhhh...OK...SCORE!!

Should have that all sorted out by the coming week.

Tossed in a couple hermits from the 20 as all my params were looking good.

It sounds better than it is, the pump definitely needs some work. After all is said and done he should be able to get it working for ~1/3 the price of a new mp20. Still a good deal.

I've got a few "tester" frags you can have. Give me a call tomorrow, I've got to leave for work in a few...
