Being my first salt water tank i freaked out not knowing this was normal before any one asks yes i am using ro/di water from the lfs time to send in the cleaning crew DU DU DU DU DU DUUUUUU CHARGE !!!!!! Once they got there job mostley done it was time to get my first fish Nemo (which my 2 1/2 year old son just had to have) LOL Link to comment
wmb_1983 Posted June 15, 2009 Author Share Posted June 15, 2009 then cleaning my tank i noticed that i had a piece of LR on the right side that was to close to my glass to get magnet cleaner though so i thought i would just try to move it over a little......well that didnt work out as planned so 3 hours and a lot of frustation later i have new rockscapeing but all in all im happy cause i think it looks much nicer now than it did before ....funny how things work themselves out and how a little frustation can pay off.. Before And after well im tired ready for bed will continue the first month tommarow including my first corals YAY Link to comment
wmb_1983 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Share Posted June 16, 2009 well im back...now to continue my first month, about a week after getting our first fish i got a couple of corals a zoa with green and orange centers and i got this one on sale for 20 bucks because it had alage growing all over it. which seemed like a great deal to me. I was wondering if someone could id it cause ive never seen one b4. hers a couple more of the second one and heres what my tank looks like today FTS and from the left side where my couch is. wmb_1983 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Share Posted June 16, 2009 and that about brings me up to date now for some of the fun pics ive taken. help me im stuck lol playing peek a boo with pepper snails and corals my shrimp is so reclusive most of the time. but he ran over my new coral as soon as they all came out guess hes curious as the next thing in the tank when new things arrive had to check it out for him self. Needreefunds Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 These look like what are sometimes called "evergreen star polyps". I have some in my 46 bow and they have taken over a large area. I bought them from a fellow N-R member and he said they soon will become a weed in your tank ...He was right. Left / rear of the tank. What started as a 1.5 x 1.5" frag about two years ago- So I would suggest either plan on giving them lots of room, or try to keep them alone on the sand bed away from the rock. Link to comment
