tinyreef Posted December 25, 2005 Share Posted December 25, 2005 ok, i understand the falseback for a tank larger than 2.5g concept so you can pass it off as a 2.5g (altho there are pic requirements to prevent cheats/loopholes). but why preclude it from Custom for any configuration as long as the volumetric requirements are still upheld? i.e. why wouldn't you be allowed to have a falseback on a 2.5g tank? what advantage would it give you over someone else in Custom? i mean i kinda understood the "foam back" tank arguement but just having a falseback doesn't give one an inherent advantage imo (or at least one i can't see). I think you've done really well, especially since you had to change your set up mid way. The mantis was cool, but I don't think I could have handled him messing up the tank all the time either! I think not having a background helps with your images too. I'm finding with the black sand and black background my photos have lots of shadows. Although you do have much better lighting!
