Gilman
Not too sure about LED's on a stock tank. Wish I had seen this question alot sooner. More input is required. My first thought would be LED lighting seems REALLY custom... There will be a livestock cutoff date at some point during the contest. You will NOT be allowed to add any more livestock after that designated point. No, I'm not telling when that is. No air pumps in stock contest. Thanks. All entry pics must be of empty tanks. Temporary stand = no problem. Careful moving your tank around k? Not sure about putting holes in your ac150 to allow a heater wire through. is there any other way? Lemme know if I missed anything!! Blind Tree Frog
i sure hope so! otherwise btf, we're in the Custom category. How's it feel to be custom? - or - Hey, Custom Buddy (for the Rocky & Bullwinkle Fans amung us) Link to comment
doncb
<snip> Not sure about putting holes in your ac150 to allow a heater wire through. is there any other way? Lemme know if I missed anything!! I don't see a problem w/ cutting a small hole in the lid of the HOB to let the heater cord pass through. It isn't modifying the HOB really. I did it on my 2.5MB (not in the contest) and it just allows the lid to sit flat. just my .02 Link to comment
Blind Tree Frog
No air pumps in stock contest. Thanks. I think I'm going backwards through the seven steps of whatever, but I'll be in denial for a second. that seems somewhat harsh since the rules put the limitation on GPH and not how the water is moved. tinyreef
No air pumps in stock contest. that seems like an odd viewpoint but if that's the case, so be it. you'll have to change/edit my thread (and others) to read [CUSTOM] as i/we can't do it because of the new forum software. Link to comment

Casabubu
Are stock participants are allowed to install moonlights in there canopy? Im assuming its o.k. because the guys who bought the current fixture get it automatically, however some verification would be nice. Link to comment

Mine as well. TinyReef, note as well that according to an old comment before the rules were written, you'd be custom just because you weren't using PC lighting for your light source. All seems odd to me, but that apparently is what they want. Link to comment

(but never had the excuse or impetus to actually do) Link to comment
Blind Tree Frog
See I look at contests like this to try out concepts and bend and stretch the rules (without breaking them) to push the limits of what people think is possible in the set parameters. So if people aren't allowed to use airlifts at all, then all of the air powered ATO systems are pushing people's tanks into custom as well? Link to comment
tinyreef
So if people aren't allowed to use airlifts at all, then all of the air powered ATO systems are pushing people's tanks into custom as well?probably not since ato's are specifically allowed. but look, i'm thinking of re-entering [sTOCK] with this new water moving source. whaddya think? that should be allowed, right? LOL I've already comissioned my daughter to be the diver dan bubble maker. She <3 the idea of being in a fish tank contest, as well as starring in the diver dan epic video event. Link to comment
