Not too sure about LED's on a stock tank. Wish I had seen this question alot sooner. More input is required. My first thought would be LED lighting seems REALLY custom...

 

There will be a livestock cutoff date at some point during the contest. You will NOT be allowed to add any more livestock after that designated point. No, I'm not telling when that is.

Not sure about putting holes in your ac150 to allow a heater wire through. is there any other way?

I don't see a problem w/ cutting a small hole in the lid of the HOB to let the heater cord pass through. It isn't modifying the HOB really. I did it on my 2.5MB (not in the contest) and it just allows the lid to sit flat.

I think I'm going backwards through the seven steps of whatever, but I'll be in denial for a second.

 

that seems somewhat harsh since the rules put the limitation on GPH and not how the water is moved.

Are stock participants are allowed to install moonlights in there canopy? Im assuming its o.k. because the guys who bought the current fixture get it automatically, however some verification would be nice.

TinyReef, note as well that according to an old comment before the rules were written, you'd be custom just because you weren't using PC lighting for your light source.

well, i guess i did exceed the wattage limit.

whatever they want. i really just looked at the contest as a place/excuse to try out some concepts that i had been kicking around for years. (but never had the excuse or impetus to actually do)

See I look at contests like this to try out concepts and bend and stretch the rules (without breaking them) to push the limits of what people think is possible in the set parameters.

probably not since ato's are specifically allowed.

Not really.. with the cord out the front it also keeps the lid from closing all the way :-\
