HVani
Sooo what all did you get? I want to order from LA but I have never pulled the trigger. Usually I just want 1 fish or 1 crab and shipping makes it too expensive. Quote Link to comment

NanoTopia
Sorry to hear about your DOA experience. I have never ordered livestock on line, it always just scared me. Now I see even from such a high profile site the results are less than expected. I like to see what I am buying even if I have to travel a ways for it. WYSIWYG my ### . You must have some good LFS in New York to shop at? Hope you have better luck soon. You tank still looks awesome. Quote Link to comment
Spirofucci
WOW! You have been busy in there. I didn't realize how long its been since we've seen and FTS. Your tank is gourgeous!!!! My very first order was from LA. Everthing was fine, but I haven't ordered from them since. My last few orders were from Vivid and Morgan. If Morgan sold fish, I'd get them from her in a second. metrokat
I ordered from LA and the only thing that didn't make it was my candy cane. I have a credit for that but I don't have enough to place another order right now. Have you ever ordered from PYA? Not ordered from PYA yet. With LA I just asked them to give me a refund back, not to have a credit on file. Sooo what all did you get? I want to order from LA but I have never pulled the trigger. Usually I just want 1 fish or 1 crab and shipping makes it too expensive. I would order fish from LA again, or divers den. I'm not going to order random corals from their site again. I posted a crappy picture of 2 of the fish: Dark blue reef chromis called Google and Chrome. I wanted a school but with the DOA, I'm left with 2 which is no fun at all. You tank still looks awesome. Well to be fair you always have a risk of casualties with any kind of livestock, and even hardware, you have equipment that doesn't work or gets damaged in shipping. I have to vouch for LA's customer service. They answer the phone, and no questions asked. I've had the same great customer service on their dry goods also. WOW! You have been busy in there. I didn't realize how long its been since we've seen and FTS. Your tank is gourgeous!!!! Thank you! It only came together this weekend. I would like to order from Morgan but mushrooms don't like me very much, I keep trying an odd ric or two from LFS in the hope that something changes before I can justify spending enough for an overnight shipping from her or vivid. I do check their sites often. Saltcritters.com is fast becoming a favorite vendor. They have $10 frags also. It's true! he shows up once a blue moon. lol Fluffy the Blasto Quote Link to comment

altolamprologus
Ok you win. All that coralline makes it look like you have a lot more corals than you do Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Blue reef chromis can be tricky Sorry for the loss. I thought you were going to get a midas blenny? Tricky? Yes! I did get a Midas Blenny! Geowge is still not comfortable although he is eating. He changes his colors quite rapidly right now depending on who or what spooks him. He's been in the tank less than 24 hours so I'm not worries at this point. Just fed the tank and he changed his color to a pretty pearlescent with pinks and yellows and turquoise indicates happiness. When he's king of the castle he will be golden. He spent all morning looking spotted like the rock he's sort of hiding under. Beautiful fish, but was starving when I got him out of the bag. I was half afraid he wouldn't make it but he is eating which is a good sign. Quote Link to comment
HVani
Neat! I meant that blue reef chromis are known to be sensitive and delicate. Quote Link to comment
matt frizz
Good luck on the midas blenny. Hope your clowns don't bug him. My clowns harassed my old midas to death. Needless to say, they were pretty aggressive guys and I eventually took them back to the store. Quote Link to comment
banshee
Can't wait to see your midas! Quote Link to comment

siwelk
Who do you think you are? siwelk? Knock it off and open up the friggn box already. Exactly. Quote Link to comment
metrokat
The Midas is quite entertaining even when he is mostly hiding. His camouflage capabilities are astonishing, and rapid. His eel like swimming is also fun to watch. But the most interesting behavior is that he comes out for a 3 second swim with the YCG or the neon gobies. I've read that they like to swim with Anthias and try to mimic their colors. Oddly enough Blennys are not schooling fish and will be agressive towards other Blennies, so you see why his need for company is entertaining. Another interesting thing I read was that Blennies will nip gobies. So his wanting to swim with my Gobies is odd. He is still checking out the clown fish and I did see him rush in for a little pretend bite at Ruby the clownfish. The clownfish are also checking him out and seem to like him, they swim really close to him and sort of just hang there chilling for a few seconds. I can't tell if this is freaking him out but he doesn't change color when they do this. Edited April 25, 2012 by metrokat Quote Link to comment

metrokat
Wow, I can't believe I actually have the makings of a zoa garden finally! In the pic above you can see an orange anemone to the right of the picture, he started out pure red when my tank was cycling, seems to be a tube anemone. Mushrooms. Meh, one day they look like this, another day they look all P.O. A Mr. Coral pora of some sort, nope not the $10 section Another Mr Coral coral, not the $10 kind Humpty the bi-valve showing his teeth Purple Deaths @ Herranton! that could be a meme Quote Link to comment
hirschy75
Are those just plain O' Clowns? Their colors are so vivid!! You're making me want a Midas now lol. Everything looks great Kat Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Thank you! Yup, plain jane O's. Those pictures are untouched. IRL they are a little more on the orange side, not as deep grapefruit colored as my camera depicts but still very bright. Midas FTW! Quote Link to comment
Spirofucci
I like how they almost have a neck and how their eyes look at you. Quote Link to comment

metrokat
Not only did the space shuttle Enterprise do a fly by right over my head this morning, I was really lucky to find the perfect crowning glory for my tank. Will post more about both later, here is a quick picture even while things were P.O. Edited April 27, 2012 by metrokat Quote Link to comment
