kgoldy
Some people say fishing is boring. I never seemed to mind the days sitting at the lake or on a boat in the ocean, even if I didn't get a single bite all day. Ahh... so peaceful and relaxing... But not when bastard fish are involved. Damn YWG pair have forever marred my countless memories of enjoyable fishing days. First off- while every other fish attacks the bait as it drops into the tank... The damn watchmen act like it's a grenade. I had to use weights just to get the bait past the middle level fast enough just so I wouldn't hook any of my other fish. Second- the bastards would somehow get the whole piece of bait into their mouths, drag it into their den... But somehow never manage to get hooked. Aaaaah!!! Here's a little snippet of how boring INSANELY FRUSTRATING my Sunday was... .... Didn't make it through the whole video? Well, imagine doing that #### for 8 goddamn mother####ing hours. Aaaaaah!?! Edit- (Apparently photobucket didn't like my 12 minute video, so consider yourself lucky I couldn't post that one.) Link to comment
kgoldy
Eventually my arms got tired. Standing at the ready with fishing line wrapped around your fingers gets old after another 4 hours. Apparently walking around Iraq every day for a year with a hundred pounds of gear isn't good for your back... so standing that long doing anything brings crippling pain. Point for team YWG. So back to the traps. I pull up a bar stool and continue to stare as my eyes go blurry with either insanity or crushing boredom. Watch as my coral beauty and wrasses go in the trap, while the ####### YWG just taunt and tease me. Link to comment

kgoldy
And then...... dot dot dot Watch video- No written narration needed. (And it'll kinda ruin the surprise.) Take that, you mother####ing goddamn piece of dog #### yellow watchman ####ing goby!! AaaaaaaaaaAAAHHHH!!!! kgoldy
The rest of the videos didn't upload on photobucket... I set it all to upload as I was leaving for work (I'm still here, obviously slacking). The videos did make it onto Google+... Anyone know how to share them from Google+ onto here? On pics I can right click, copy img address then just paste it here... But I haven't figured out the videos yet. Link to comment
castiel
I never figured out Google+ video sharing either. Tried for an hour the other week, still didn't get it. Link to comment
kgoldy
Ironically, Googling "how to share videos uploaded to google+" yields exactly zero useful results. Link to comment
Ezsharkman
that was a fast reaction... if you zoom in and go slow motion you can see the YWG go WTF!!!! Link to comment
gena
omg...that startled me when you yanked him out Just out of curiousity...I didn't read through the whole thing, why do you hate the YWG? Link to comment

kgoldy
Google's ENTIRE support network is a forum. The only threads I came across were people like me #####ing about not being able to share videos. Haha. omg...that startled me when you yanked him out Just out of curiousity...I didn't read through the whole thing, why do you hate the YWG? Once they started breeding they got super nasty. They basically had complete ownership of the bottom third of the tank. My other gobies are teeny tiny, and I like them more. Link to comment

kgoldy
Since I'm picking up the two Radions... It ate into my self imposed limit on gifts to myself for Christmas... So I'm going to spoil the hints that I was giving to Kat. Nano-Reef member bluebastion made a video review... And it has me sold. 100%. One day, my water will be changed. But not until it's at the press of a button. Then, after button pressing, it'll happen when I'm not even around, at least once a week from then on. Link to comment
kgoldy
The photos and videos uploaded to Google+ are on Picasa too... Maybe this will work. https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/bbyke...feat=directlink Someone please let me know if that video works for ya^ (BTW- that's the extremely boring 12 minute video of me attempting to hook a fish. Watch only if you want to feel empathy pains.) Link to comment
kgoldy
Just found a teeny tiny nudi in my tank. Ugh. No way I'm getting this thing ID'd. Way too small. If I found one, I can only assume there could be dozens of these things... And they might be evil and planning to eat my coral. For now it's isolated out of the tank in a small glass dish. I wonder if it'll survive til the reef swap on Sunday. Maybe there someone there can ID it... In the meantime, let's hear some suggestions on what this little guy might be. Please excuse my first attempt at a macro video. Also keep in mind it's after midnight and coffee has long worn off.... Link to comment

(Kinda impossible since I'm strapped in and in a window seat on this plane) but if I were on a regular chair, I would fall off my chair. Can I get a front row seat for this "push button to change water" thingamabob? Link to comment
kgoldy
Video worked! Did you upload from your phone to Picasa, or is it automatic? I uploaded from camera/computer to Google+, then logged into Picasa, and found it there. Since Picasa is a google program, I guess it integrates your accounts. I just wish you could post with the image preview like the photobucket videos. Can I get a front row seat for this "push button to change water" thingamabob? Sure, it just might be a few months. FlCandy
Ha no more not changing water as long as it's not you doing it right? LOL I love this tank No idea on the nudi, but he is tiny, kinda cute if I didn't know better! Link to comment

LOL I love this tank No idea on the nudi, but he is tiny, kinda cute if I didn't know better! I'll set up the equipment and do the plumbing... But I REFUSE to carry buckets of salt water! Haha. And I love this old guy. Dr Ron Shimek- Hi,Your little sea slug is a sacoglossan, not a nudibranch. That means lots of internal differences from a nudi, but more importantly, it means this little guy/gal (it is a hermaphrodite) eats algae, rather than animals. It really is too small for me to definitively identify with these images, it could be either an individual of a species of Elysia (no shell) or an individual of Oxynoe antillarum (very thin and hard to see external shell - at this size one needs microscopy to see the shell). Both are often found on Caulerpa, upon which they feed. Enjoy the biodiversity. ^ This makes perfect sense. I just dug most of the green grape caulerpa out of my mantis tank last night, just a few hours before I found the little guy. He's going back into the fuge to finish off the pieces I couldn't get.
